OVERVIEW |
|
This 2.5 hour course in two sessions
is a part of the Clinical Intensive Neuro Course, and open to
all meeting registrants. In its sessions on Tuesday and
Wednesday mornings, physician speakers will focus on the state
of the art in MS imaging and discuss whether MRI can be used as
a biomarker for following MS. The use of contrast media for MRI
of suspected or known MS patients will be discussed. |

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES |
Upon completion of this course
participants should be able to:
- Explain brain plasticity;
- Describe cases when MRI could
appropriately be used as a biomarker for MS; and
- Explain the rationale for using
(or not) different dosages of contrast in MS patients.
