AUDIENCE DESCRIPTION
This course is aimed at radiologists, MR technologists and clinical support scientists who wish to incorporate the use of MRI into their practice and to know how evolving MRI techniques can aid in clinical problem solving in the body and impact individualized patient care.

Session 1: Tuesday
Clinical Intensive Course - Diffusion Imaging: Body Applications

OVERVIEW
This one-hour session will cover the technique of diffusion weighted imaging as applied to body MRI including technical and clinical pitfalls. It will address in detail its applications to liver and renal lesion detection and characterization.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:
Describe various body diffusion weighted imaging protocols and recognize potential technical and clinical pitfalls; and
Apply body diffusion weighted imaging protocol to characterization of liver and renal lesions.

Clinical Intensive Course - MRI of Biliary Tree & Pancreas

OVERVIEW
This one-hour session will cover a detailed description of current MRCP protocols and pertinent findings of biliary tree abnormalities. It will also emphasize the added value of MRI in evaluation of incidental small cystic pancreatic lesions and its role in patient management.

MRI of the Benign Female Pelvic Conditions

OVERVIEW
This one-hour session will cover the added value of MRI in management of patients with uterine anomalies. We will address the evolving role of different MRI sequences in imaging of patients with endometriosis with a particular emphasis on the added value of MRI in individualized care in this group of patients.

This session will cover the indications and use of various MRI sequences in evaluation of patients with suspected placental abnormalities. It will also describe in detail the crucial role that MRI plays in management of pregnant patients presenting with an acute abdomen.
