OVERVIEW |
This one-hour
session will cover the technique of diffusion weighted imaging and
diffusion tensor imaging as applied to MSK MRI including technical
and clinical applications in muscle and cartilage. |
|
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES |
Upon completion
of this course participants should be able to: |

Advanced Mapping of Cartilage Glycosaminoglycan
Moderators: Bernard J. Dardzinski, Ph.D. & Garry E. Gold, M.D. |
OVERVIEW |
This one-hour
session will cover the added value of MRI in assessment of articular
cartilage with new method for glycosaminoglycan content. We will
address the evolving role of different MRI sequences in imaging of
patients with osteoarthritis with a particular emphasis on the added
value of MRI in individualized care in this group of patients. |
|
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES |
Upon completion
of this course participants should be able to: |
|
Recognize the added value of glycosaminoglycan-specific
MRI in management of patients with cartilage repair
and osteoarthritis; and |
|
Describe the current methods of glycosaminoglycan-specific
MRI in evaluation of clinical and research patients. |
