OVERVIEW |
In our “Guess
That Artifact” game show, contestants will compete in the evaluation
of MR artifacts from the mundane to the esoteric over the course of
2 hours. Emphasis will be placed on the physical origin and methods
for mitigating the artifact. Winners will receive not-so-valuable
prizes! Each round will be followed by a brief (five-minute)
explanation by one of our hosts. |

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES |
Upon completion
of this course participants should be able to: |

List and evaluate principle categories of artifacts; |
|
Explain sources of commonly encountered artifacts
and methods to avoid them; and |
|
Recommend further tests for problem solving and
troubleshooting artifacts. |

AUDIENCE
DESCRIPTION |
The
audience is expected to be made up of trainees, MRI
technologists and practicing radiologists. |
