OVERVIEW |
This two-hour
course will focus on state-of-art liver imaging. Specific lectures
will address in detail how to: |

Use different liver-specific contrast agents in
characterization of focal liver lesions; |
|
Detect cancer in difficult liver; |
|
Evaluate diffuse liver disease; and |
|
Use MRI in assessment of patients before and after
liver transplantation. |

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES |
Upon completion
of this course participants should be able to: |

Describe the use of different liver specific
contrast agents and their added value in
characterization of focal lesions; |
|
Explain the use of MRI in evaluation of diffuse
liver disease and malignant liver lesions; and |
|
Recognize the role of MRI in evaluation of patients
before and after liver transplantation. |

course is designed for radiologists, MR technologists and
clinical support scientists who wish to improve the use of
MRI in their practice and to know how evolving MRI
techniques can aid in clinical problem solving in the body
and impact individual patient care. |
