OVERVIEW |
This 2-hour
course is a part of the Clinical Intensive Neuro Course and will
focus on imaging patients after a stroke, with emphasis on brain
plasticity. The speakers are physicians that are expert in their
field. The topics covered are divided into 4 lectures: |

Update on stroke imaging; |
|
Changes in default mode network post stroke (fMRI); |
|
Changes in DTI post stroke; and |
|
Image-guided therapies and rehabilitation. |

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES |
Upon completion
of this course participants should be able to: |

Be aware of the advances in MRI that can be
implemented in clinical practice to evaluate stroke
and recovery; |
|
Have knowledge of the role of MRI in acute and post
stroke imaging; |
|
Understanding the changes that occur on DTI post
stroke; and |
|
Be aware of the role of MRI in image-guided
post-stroke therapies. |
