OVERVIEW |
The topics to be
covered in this half-day course are related to the emerging imaging
technologies associated with MRI in a fairly broad sense. Our
overall goal is to broaden the horizons of MR scientists, Ph.D.
students and clinicians by presenting the cutting edge developments
in the areas beyond the mainstream MRI. Speakers are mainly basic
scientists, and the format will be lectures and discussion. |

Upon completion
of this course participants should be able to: |

Recognize new trends in the imaging technology
development related to MRI; |
|
Explain the physical principles of the new imaging
modalities and approaches; |
|
Identify the challenges associated with the new
technological developments; |

Evaluate potential applicability of the new imaging
approaches to particular medical areas; and |
|
Recommend implementing particular emerging technique
at their institutions or apply these techniques for
medical diagnosis. |

course is designed for experienced MR scientists seeking new
challenges, Ph.D. students in the advanced phase of their
projects thinking of the future directions, and clinicians
looking for new diagnostic modalities and treatment options.
The attendees are expected to be familiar with the basic MRI
techniques and hardware. |
