| OVERVIEW |
|
Numerous impingement syndromes
occur around the body: these can be osseous, osteocartilagenous,
fibro-osseous or neural in origin. These syndromes and their MR
imaging appearance will be presented as they manifest in the
shoulder, hip, ankle and peripheral nerves. |

| TARGET AUDIENCE |
|
This course is directed primarily
to clinicians interested in enhancing their knowledge and learning
up-to-date information regarding impingement syndromes of the
musculoskeletal system and their MR imaging appearance. |

| EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course,
participants should be able to: |
- Identify factors leading
to the development and progression of impingement disorders of
the shoulder, hip, ankle and nerves;
- Implement MRI techniques
in clinical practice for the diagnosis of patients with
impingement disorders of the shoulder, hip, ankle and nerves;
and
- Utilize MRI techniques in
clinical practice to assess the success or failure of surgical
treatment for patients with impingement disorders of the
shoulder, hip, ankle and nerves.
