OVERVIEW |
This two-hour course focuses on
the role of MRI methods as quantitative biomarkers of diffuse liver
disease. Emerging quantitative methods for detection and staging of
important features of diffuse liver disease, including steatosis,
iron overload, fibrosis, hepatocyte function and hemodynamics will
be reviewed by leading experts. All presentations feature
didactic–interactive lectures using audience response technology. |
|
TARGET AUDIENCE |
This course is aimed at
clinicians, imaging scientists and MR technologists interested in
diffuse liver disease and emerging quantitative MRI biomarkers used
for improved diagnosis and disease staging. |
|
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
As a result of attending this
course, participants should be able to: |
- Classify the basic
clinical features of diffuse liver disease;
- Incorporate the main
strategies for quantifying fat, iron, fibrosis, hepatocyte
function and hemodynamics with MRI; and
- Appropriately utilize
these biomarkers in assessment of diffuse liver disease.
