| OVERVIEW |
|
The course will provide an
in-depth discussion of common injuries sustained during a wide range
of sports activities. Each lecture will focus on a specific anatomic
region and will discuss the clinical and pathophysiologic features
of sports related injuries and the use of MRI in their diagnosis.
Current literature will be reviewed along with presentations of
clinical cases and discussion of the differential diagnosis. |

| TARGET AUDIENCE |

“MRI of Sports Related Injuries”
is designed for radiologists and clinical care providers who wish to
update their knowledge on the use of MRI for diagnosing sports
related injuries. |

| EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
As a result of attending this
course, participants should be able to: |
- Recognize the clinical
and pathophysiologic features of sports related injuries;
- Improve their use of MRI
for diagnosing sports related injuries; and
- Implement emerging MRI
techniques for evaluating sports related injuries.
