Overview
It's an artifact. In what kind of imaging can it appear, and why?
Come participate in the ISMRM Artifact Game Show! Learn about common MR artifacts and how to avoid them in a light-hearted game show setting. Contestants will participate in a variety of games to learn about artifacts, and then experts will provide more information. If you’re on the Zoom, you have a chance to play! Come for the artifacts, stay for the fun!
Target Audience
All ISMRM members looking for a place to relax and/or a place to learn about the origins of types of artifacts that might suddenly pop on your MR image.
Educational Objectives
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify common artifacts found in clinical MRI;
- Explain the physical origins of these artifacts;
- Implement changes to pulse sequences to avoid errors due to fold-over, chemical shift, and motion; and
- Use artifacts to assist in diagnosis of some pathologies.
