Overview
This special session will focus on MR findings as they relate to neurological and cardiopulmonary complications resulting from COVID-19 as well as new developments in infection control.

Target Audience
Radiographers, MR technologists, radiologists, clinicians, and scientists interested in COVID-19 imaging findings and infection control.

Educational Objectives
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe post-COVID neurological complications identified on MRI;
- Describe post-COVID cardiopulmonary complications identified on MRI; and
- Discuss new developments in infection control.

		Cardiac MR Findings of Cardiac Involvement in COVID-19 Recovered Patients Watch the Video Lu Huang, Liming Xia Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) evaluated cardiac involvement in patients recovered from COVID- 19 . Myocardial injury caused by COVID-19 was previously reported in hospitalized patients. It is unknown if there is sustained cardiac involvement after patients’ recovery from COVID-19. Cardiac involvement was found in a proportion of patients recovered from COVID-19. CMR manifestation included myocardial edema, fibrosis, and impaired ventricle function.CMR myocardial tissue and strain imaging parameters suggest that a proportion of participants recovered from COVID-19 had subclinical myocardial abnormalities detectable months after recovery. These CMR findings indicate the need for ongoing investigation of the long-term cardiovascular consequences of COVID-19.
