Tutors: Ilaria Boscolo & Flora Kennedy McConnell
Main Overview: In this tutorial series, we will provide “hands-on” sessions for analysis of quantitative physiological neuroimaging data (perfusion, fMRI physiology, CEST). Pre-recorded lectures will complement ISMRM educational content, providing an introduction and insight into setting up, optimising, and running analyses. Each live session will focus on a single topic, consisting of a 5-minute recap lecture followed by dedicated time for participants to interact with data, software, and other attendees. Tutors will be on hand to answer queries and assist.
Target Audience: Basic and clinical scientists interested in physiological MRI, across all levels of experience. Coding experience is not essential.
Tutorial Objectives:
Upon completion of this tutorial, participants should be able to:
• Explain the principles of analysis for a specific neurophysiological imaging technique;
• Employ state-of-the-art image analysis methods for the specific technique using freely available software; and
• Apply their knowledge and the software tools provided to their own data.
Synopsis: Analysis of ASL data to extract quantitative measures of perfusion and other haemodyanmic parameters where available. Will include kinetic modelling, calibration, correction for the effect of motion, distortion, and tissue partial voluming.
The key objective is to equip the community with state-of-the-art image analysis skills, aiming to reach a broad audience irrespective of primary training. The tutorial would be run via an online platform with participants split into smaller breakout rooms allowing for dedicated support and encouraging discussion between participants. Pre-registration required.
