Overview
With the increased clinical High Field MR systems and the desire to push the Magnetic Field strength, leads to more challenges and solutions. During this session, you will learn of the increased complexities, challenges and safety requirements for the MR Technologist related High Field systems. The newest advances and solutions to the challenges with High Field imaging, and the latest experiences and discoveries with the Whole Body 11.7T Iseult Project Odyssey

	11:15		Exploring the Human Brain at 11.7T: The Iseult Project Odyssey View the Presentation Denis Le Bihan The understanding of the human brain is a major challenge of the 21st century. In the early 2000s the French Atomic Energy Commission launched the Iseult project, a program to build a “human brain explorer”, the first whole-body MRI scanner operating at 11.7T. Since 2017 the outstanding magnet has been delivered and commissioned at NeuroSpin. The project aims, the system specifications, technological challenges and the solutions which have been chosen to overcome them are presented. Lines of the research and development which will be necessary to fully exploit the potential of this and other UHF MRI scanners are also outlined.
	11:45		Challenges and experience of setting up a 7T service as a new user View the Presentation Philippa Bridgen Our 7T service is based within a inner-city London hospital, which allows us to offer a clinically focused service alongside research work in an ever-developing field. This presentation is an overview of the challenges we experienced whilst setting up a new 7T service and the ways in which we overcame these. We focus on some of the processes and procedures implemented to achieve this and set out our plans going forwards.
