MR Technologists and Radiographers Invited to Share Their Work

The Education Committee sincerely hopes that members and non-members alike will give some serious thought to participating in the next annual meeting in Milan by submitting an abstract before the deadline of 18 December 2013. Now is the time to think about a topic and check out the information on the website. Prizes will also be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Research and Clinical categories for both oral and poster presentations. This is a great way to become involved – you can even write an abstract jointly with a colleague if you have never written one previously. There are helpful tips to guide you through the process along with information on how to access a mentor if you would like some experienced help. We recognise it can be difficult to obtain institutional funding to attend meetings; however, having an abstract accepted for presentation either orally or as a poster can certainly add weight to your case!

The best abstract submitted will be awarded the prestigious President’s Award and will receive a prize of US$800. The best student abstract will be awarded the John A. Koveleski Award for Professional Development and the recipient of this award will receive US$600. Program Chair Rhonda Walcarius, has put together a very comprehensive program of great speakers and topics for our 2014 meeting, so consider locking in a visit to Milan next May – it will be a very worthwhile experience as well as being professionally rewarding. We hope to see you there.
